This is a bright and citrusy salad that is on almost every south asian dinner table. The fresh citrus in this salad cuts the fat from the more rich dishes. I make so much of this in the summer from my backyard garden. Digression: I still cannot believe I get to grow my own veggies in the middle of the city.

Ingredients
- 1 medium English cucumber
- 1 tomato
- 1 medium red onion
- 2 green chillies
- 1/2 bunch fresh cilantro
- 1 lemon
- 1 lime
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- Salt

Steps
- Take the time to dice vegetables into small bite-sized pieces, aiming for uniform size.
- Combine all chopped vegetables to a serving bowl.
- Season generously with freshly squeezed citrus juice, cumin, and salt to taste.
- Toss gently to combine
- Serve alongside main dishes
