Allison and Elaine

This is a portrait of Allison and her mother right after the ceremony.

I can only imagine what it must be like to raise a daughter. To help her learn, and watch her grow. To prep her for her first day of school, and support her journey in education. To attend her high school graduation, and encourage her aspirations beyond. To watch her glow at the news of her first job, and glow brighter having fallen in love. Then one day, attending her wedding.

I am privileged to share this moment with so many mothers as they watch their daughters marry. The glow of a proud mom is a special kind of light, and often a side note to the warmth emanating from the newlyweds. But if you catch a glimpse of the mother of the bride, you will understand what I mean—It’s heart-warming.

On Allison and Kyle’s wedding day, Allison’s mom Elaine was the first on the scene. She was full of delight, and I will never forget her excitement as she prepared to witness her daughter’s special day.

Any thoughts?

I can’t begin to thank you for sharing these two very special photos. You’re right that there is nothing that compares to a mother’s love and joy watching their child grow up. Allison’s happiness is my happiness and their wedding day was the ultimate on that scale!
