I am pretty mesmerized by this photo. I loved it when I took it and the huge rock made it easy to shoot.
Two Texans in Detroit
About a year and a half ago I got a call from El Paso, Texas about a Winter wedding in Detroit. I was smiling ear to ear as soon as Ashlee and Josh started describing their wedding plans; a Detroit wedding in a historic theater… YES! I am so excited to share these photos with you. I hope you like looking through them as much as we liked taking them. If you would like an image and would like a print or a digital copy, please click on the shopping cart icon to the right. Lastly, a huge thanks for Luke for assisting me.
This is one of my favorites from the wedding. I remember the whole bridal party standing behind me as I was shooting thing and there was a communal “awwwwww” as I released the shutter.
Sometimes it is just a team effort.
These looked awesome.
I think they got ready before the girls…. by just a little.
Yup, it’s time to show Detroit how they party in Texas.
The whole bridal party walked around the streets of Detroit together. It was a little chilly, but each and every one of these folks was a champ. You can’t have a wedding in Detroit and not use these buildings as a backdrop.
Sometimes you have to hold up traffic to get the right shot; NBD.
I loved Ashlee’s bouquet. These flowers looked perfectly fresh all day.
Probably one of the cutest pictures from the day. I can’t get over Ashlee’s expression.
It’s not very often that you get to shoot a wedding in an old theater. This was a perfect view for all the guests.
Getting pumped for the reception.
Do you see a pomegranate in there?
